| Abstract |
This study aims to analysis the changes of space according to digital data desires increase in public library. To achieve these purposes, the several libraries in Daejeon have been investigated, and the changes of each functional area and space reorganization were reviewed. The results are as follows. (1) The cases studied shows that the social request changes to library and media data from analogue to digital are reflected in spatial reorganization of libraries. (2) The repurposing spaces are designed open-ended and multi-used space, and changed to the literature creating room, culture education room, and digital media lab. (3) The remodeling methods are classified into 3 types : filling the void space like as rest area and balcony terrace in each floors, expansion to outdoor including sunken garden, and adding another functional space to first library. |
