Abstract |
There are so many problems in the structure analysis of the Korean traditional wood structures. Among these problems, the uncertainties of the structural properties inherent in various connections may be the most serious problems. Although many analytical or experimental studies discovering structural properties of connections have been performed recently, there are not exact structural property data available in the structure analysis. So, a new research method breaking from conventional analysis, which is like kinematic approach, is necessary to be studied. In this approach, modelling and analysis methods considering the mechanical characteristics of the Korean traditional wood structures are necessary to be developed consistently. Also, it seems that the behaviors of columns are investigated first in this approach. In this case, it is convenient for a column to be modelled as rigid links. So, in this study, a method for transforming rigid link concept using joint displacement constraint to computer program is suggested, which will be used for the analysis of the Korean traditional wood structure column. For this suggestion, a theory for the joint displacement constraint method and the investigation of some commercial programs is done first, then a computer program(sNs) is developed based on the theory and algorithm studied. Lastly, a sample analysis is performed to verify the possibility of application of sNs. |
