| Abstract |
This study aims to analyze the relationship between the housing type and the density of housing site. For this purpose, 99 housing sites in Gyeinggi Province were analyzed and compared with 107 housing sites in Ile-de-France that have a same spatial hierarchy with Gyeonggi Province. And a new housing type was developed by considering the number of households, building height and layout. As a result, firstly, a density affects to the housing type, but the housing type did not. Secondly, it turns out that Korean housing has the lower building coverage ratio and the higher building height than France. On the other hand, in France, there were buildings which have various heights in one block and most of them were the low-rise high density housing. This study suggests that an attempt to supply the low-rise high density housing in the downtown is necessary for the diversification of housing type. |
