| Abstract |
When promoting sustainable urban development, it is indispensable to properly grasp the environmental performance of large-scale developments at the urban scale. There have been lots of efforts to develop environmental performance assesment tool in many countries, however, it seems that most of those efforts have been focused on building-scale system. It could be mentioned that relatively little attention paid to the development of systems for urban scale project. From this point of view, this paper outlines the environmental performance assesment system for the urban development project developed in Japan, CASBEE-UD(Urban Development) and introduces the practical case of analytical use of CASBEE-UD applied to domestic project "Urban Regeneration Project in Gyungin Expressway Arterialization Area" in Incheon City. Then the necessity of our own assesment system will be discussed at the final part of this paper. |
