Abstract The city design for citizen's needs and perceptions has being increased gradually but essential composition of this hasn't been systematized yet. Nowadays, city design that we are presently using is not an overall plan for a city but includes streetscape maintenance and public design maintenance programs. In other words, city design has to refers to forming a holistic image of a city but it hasn't been. Therefore, to plan such kind of city design, it is necessary to conduct researches that examine consistent streetscape based on street architecture and the visual complexity of public facilities and figure out methods to apply it to actual design. Accordingly, This is the paper for city image improvement and contains contents on the systemization process of physical elements in city design. This paper intended to understand the composition system of the most fundamental physical elements in city design which consist of a city, and to discover the correlation between those elements as a means to enhance city image through the experts' evaluation.
