Abstract |
This paper is aimed to clarify the joints of wooden roof truss members in modern age of Korea focused 19 architectural properties. These are largely classified with western king and queen post roof trusses, members of these trusses are composed with principal rafter, tie beam, strut, king post, hanging post, plate and so on. The type joints are diversely represented with the combination of these members. The joints of principal rafter and tie beam are respectively classified with three by the existence of wall plate and pole plate. The joints of king post and tie beam are mortise and tenon joint, and classified with three types by the existence of splayed joint and method of jointing. The joints of principal rafter and strut are classified with two types by existence by hanging post. The joints of king post and principal rafter are classified with three types placement of ridgepole and rafter. |
