Abstract |
Recent statistics regarding senior citizens show that the loneliness and the sense of alienation of the elderly are serious issues as well as the increase of the senior population. Therefore to overcome their loneliness and alienation social interactions are needed and city construction studies from the viewpoint of social interactions such as senior citizens' community. However most of the studies related senior citizens' community approaching to city construction are limited to the community facilities and empirical studies do not exist. Thus this article tried to make inclusive and empirical study on the senior citizens' community in the city. This study induced key words related to the activation and promotion of senior citizens' community from the theory of ecology, surveyed and analyzed their behavioral frequency and preference quantitatively according to the interpretation of city construction. Based on the survey and analysis results in the three categories (self-catalyst network, space identity interpretation network, long-lasting network), the network configuration diagram was proposed, which was composed of major factors and elements of the senior citizens' community promotion network. It will be used as the basic materials for the successive study such as ‘A Study on the Configuration and Application of the Network Measuring Model to Promote Senior Citizens' Community in City Area‘. |
