Abstract |
Since middle of 1990s, growing opinions unfavorable to 1st generation of New-town Developments(Bun-dang, Il-san, Pyung-cheon, etc.) has led governments interested in comparatively small-size housing developments. Eventually, semi-agricultural land has been encroached to develop. A lot of private developers beginning to develop housing next to existing 1st generation New-town developments because their land cost was affordable, and still has easy access to Seoul. In addition to that, By taking advantage of existing infra-structures of those New-town, developers saved quite amount of the construction costs. Those parasitized housing developments without any serious planning process have lowered the living quality of the both residents. Unfortunately, there has been literally no articles regarding those thoughtless developments. The study evaluates those parasitized housing developments without any serious planning process. Numerical indexes regarding population, infra-structure, etc. has been used to measure how serious the damage done by the thoughtless development. The result of the study would help to establish the standard to judge whether the development is thoughtless or not. |
