Abstract The aim of this study is to analyze and evaluate the characteristics of outdoor radiation thermal environment and urban high temperature potential in summer of the typical residential apartment housing. It is used the environmental information to the thermography RGB composition through visualization of numerical simulation of all-surface-temperature of 3-dimension. The accomplished results of study are as follows. 1) Quantitative evaluation was outdoor radiation thermal environment and urban high temperature potential through case studies depending on the type of apartment housing complexes charge. It can reflected eco-friendly housing plan in the design process. A designers can build a foundation of the environmental information DB. 2) Using time sequential thermography, the heat characteristics of each apartment housing were investigated the surface temperature of each element of the apartment housing, which was classified according to temperature, shape, position, was obtained throughout the day. 3) The impact of the apartment housing complex quantitative map of the urban high temperature in order to determine the amount of sensible heat flux of materials was calculated. The result showed a range of flat-type apartment housing 33W/㎡~785W/㎡ and tower-type apartment housing 80W/㎡~904W/㎡.
