Abstract The indoor air quality has been worse since buildings became airtight to reduce energy consumption. Recent recognition of the importance of IAQ leads to study solutions for indoor air contaminants such as TVOC and HCHO, in Korea. But it is lack of the study about bio-aerosol that has responsibilities for allergic diseases, respiratory ailments and infection. And people don't know about the importance of bio-aerosol control in space. In this study, the trends of indoor bio-aerosol have been measured in a controlled chamber at a university in Busan, Korea. The measurement found the trends of indoor bio-aerosol numbers according to the change of indoor air temperature and humidity. The result shows general facts, units and existing studies about bio-aerosol. It shows the relationship between bio-aerosol and the other indoor environment factors in an air-conditioned room through measurement. Indoor bio-aerosol tends to be with micro particles less than 8.0 μm, which has big impact on human health. When it rains, the number of bio-aerosol tends to decrease because of few particles in the air. A lot of particles depends on the trends of air temperature and humidity. This study can be used as a basic data for improving indoor bio-contaminant.
