Abstract |
In order to assess shear strength of non-supporting composite basement wall, the research produced four test objects to examine effect of form tie that resists concrete lateral pressure and shear performance according to Shear Span-to-Depth Ratio (a/d), and to compare test results with standard formula. The result showed that use of form tie that connects formwork and H-Pile did not significantly affect maximum load and yield load, but as for displacement at maximum load, NS1-C60-W15 showed greatest value, which used a form tie. Increasing shear span ratio (a/d) lowered Vexp./Vcal ratio, and the result was closest to Zsutty formula. Results of the test and formula calculation showed less gap when steel H-Pile+concrete was considered for effective depth, rather than considering concrete only. Thus, it is assumed that when calculating shear strength, existing formula can be used by applying entire depth of the composite wall (effective depth) as long as composite ratio is considered. |
