| Abstract |
“Low-rise high-density housing" is one of alternative housing types to differ from a standardized city formed with high-rise buildings. Recently, the government prefers to build the townhouse which has a concept of “Low-rise high-density housing". However, the townhouse is hard to apply in urban area with its high costs and spacious size. Therefore, in Korea, it is usually located in suburban area. In this respect, this study aims to suggest planning guideline for applicable 'Urban Townhouse' in deteriorated small urban residential area. For this purpose, we tried to find overseas cases of 'Urban Townhouse' to understand their backgrounds and conditions and focused on Dutch urban townhouse cases especially. |
