Abstract This research is designed to distinguish difference in visitors’ behavior between hands-on exhibition and hands-off exhibition in science museum. This study checks attracting power and holding power as its variables to measure visitors’ behaviors. The result of analysis is as follows; 1) Visitors showed statistically significance both in attracting and holding power at hands-on exhibition in accordance with their age groups. That is, the higher visitors’ age was (junior elementary students, senior elementary students and middle school students), the lower attracting and holding power was accordingly. But there was little statistical difference with regard to gender. 2) Visitors showed difference in attracting and holding power at some hands-off exhibitions according to age groups. But that did not have any statistical significance. In addition, there is little difference in attracting and holding power with related to gender. 3) Visitors showed outstanding statistical difference in attracting and holding power at different kinds of hands-on exhibition and hands-off exhibition. That means visitors stay longer and are more interested in hands-on exhibition than hands-off exhibition.
