Abstract The most victims from the accidents are infants before 6 who are physically and mentally unripe because of their lack of recognition on the fire and awareness on the effect of it. It contains the biggest possibility to make the accidents even worse. Therefore, it has required more responsibilities for childcare institutions to conduct safety for infants immediately after fire breaks out. To secure the initial response and evacuation time, nursery teacher's awareness of fire safety and the installation of fire facilities are important elements for the initial fire suppression and prevention of the spread of fire. Thus, this research examine nursery teacher's awareness of fire safety and installed status of fire fighting facilities and than suggests some basic information to improve the overall fire safety in childcare institutions.
