Abstract |
Epoxy bonded fiber sheets are attractive for strengthening structural laminated timber due to high tensile strength and easy handing. The objective of this study is to evaluate structural performance of structural laminated timber beams. A total 10 specimens were tested. The main parameters are fiber sheet types(polypropylene fiber sheet, carbon fiber sheet), and location of finger joints. The vertical loading steadily increased by displacement control. Also, the load and displacement curves, flexural strength(MOR), elasticity(MOE), and failure modes on outermost lamination of structural glued-laminated timber is to investigated. Also, moisture content was measured before and after the test. The main parameter are the mechanical grades and wooden types. The M.O.R and M.O.E of specimens on outermost lamination of structural glued-laminated timber are higher than a standard value of the product. Also, the results of the test show that specimens stiffened with fiber sheets was characterized by fairly good strength and stiffness than those of the non stiffened specimens. |
