Abstract The size of airport facilities is set up by applying data of passengers' demands and frequency of aircrafts' services which are basic data by aerial demands. However, the prediction of aerial demands can have a great deal of errors according to changes of society and transportations even if the setting of the scale was reasonable at that time of planning it. Therefore, the size of airport facilities cause fundamental problems of the plan by having more excessive size than real demands when it is operated in reality. Therefore, the study carried out analysis on a reasonable size of passenger terminal by investigating/analyzing change factors of aerial demands in domestic air service. The study calculated an excess/lack of area in passenger terminals of each airport quantitatively by an objective standard. Therefore, the study will become basic data to establish an efficient plan so that district airport passenger terminals may cope positively with changes of aerial demands.
