Abstract |
The advent of the aging society and following aged society has made local governments run numerous senior welfare complexes, and the number of complexes is increasing on. This study’s purpose is to provide the planning materials for senior complex of healthcare, medicine and welfare; it focused on the improving ways of interrelated use of facilities, comparing physical characteristics and evaluating interrelation of use between senior complexes of Korea and Japan. For this study, respective 4 senior complexes of Korea and Japan were chosen as representing two nations, and every manager was interviewed on the physical characteristics, compounding process, and interrelation status of the complex. This study suggests the planning material as following. 1) The senior complex is recommended to be located at a populated area for good access, and connecting corridors in it would enhance interrelated use. 2) The public health center and hospital in the front side of the complex would make residents visit easily, and the welfare facility in the rear side shall be felt more separated. 3) The courtyard in the center of complex, giving openness and separation, could be used for relaxation and events. 4) The sports and convenience facilities, set in the midst of welfare and medical facilities for residents to visit, would help elders-people community formation. 5) The manager in charge should be appointed to prepare programs for interrelated use of facilities. |
