Abstract |
Recently, interest in VE is rising as a part of efforts to improve productivity of the construction industry. Clients are demanding a maximum of efficiency at a minimal cost. Designers, contractors and CMr, who are a main agent of the construction industry, strive to give help in reducing cost and improving productivity of the construction industry through VE. However, by wrong recognition of practical officers attaching weight to cost reduction about VE, ideas and alternative plans with lower quality than the original plan of design are still created and adopted. Therefore, the study presented a model to calculate value index considering balance between function and cost for the decision-making To-Be process. When the created alternative plan is evaluated through VE, verified compatibility and practical application of the model presented TO-BE process to VE of the bedroom floor of an apartment house. |
