Abstract |
Currently, the aim of fire safety regulation is safe excavation especially in case of fire not for the disabled but for the normal people. To solve this problem, it is required to find an appropriate method for escape with safety and high reliability. The purpose of this study is to provide advance methods after analyzing the state of the fire safety system and legal issues to escape quick and safely in the underground spaces such as subway and underground shopping center. Furthermore, it would contribute to making the spaces convenient and safe for the individuals using underground facilities. The study was written to provide is to clarify the problems and to find improvement solutions by analysing the convenient facilities used by the disabled in cases of 30 subway stations of the number 1 line and 26 of the number 2 line. As a result of analysing subway stations in Daegu, wheelchair lifts are equipped in every subway station in the number 1 line. While elevators are installed in the number 2 line, there is a lack of vertical move plan for a quick evacuation in the number 1 line. Furthermore, it is an another issue that the disabled have to transfer in order to move out from the underground in both lines. It is hard for the disabled to evacuate on their own. Evacuation floors as an alternative way can be installed for them to stay and wait for a rescue party in a safety zone. Considering physical disability, a ramp or an escalator that allows the disabled to move without any help should be installed along with a simple way to use. It is believed that these ways secure the disable's evacuation safety. |
