| Abstract |
The Multi-Family Housing Block is one of the Housing for Urban Lifestyle to improve the living environment in deteriorated residential area and cope with demands for small-sized residence. But it has not been activated in contrast to expectations because of the difficulties in the joint-developments, including alignment with the existing urban tissue and lack of feasibility. For the improvements of living environment this study was to investigate the planning aspects and search for the problems in Multi-family Housing Block. Therefore we looked into the governments policy for 'small-sized residence' and its regulational standards in accordance to the increasing number of single family housing. And we studied multi-dimensional aspects of the Housing for Urban Lifestyle through interviews with policy makers, researchers, designers and architects. The planning characters are divided and researched as Site planning, Parking, Building & Unit planning, Service and Community Facility. According to the analysis of the results, we proposed Design and Policy direction. |
