Abstract This research is a study of visitor’s choice of circulation effect by the visual perception. ESA which stands for the Exhibition Space Analyzer has been developed to calculate the extent of visibility that would affect the choice of visitor’s circulation. ESA uses two indicators to calculate the visitor’s exhibition experiences through visual perception such as EE, the Exposure Extent and VCE, Visual Circulation Exposure. EE is an index that indicates a level of visual exposure of a display and VCE is an index that indicates an extent of recognition of the exhibition from the visitor under the environment of exhibition. It is available to measure the extent of exposure of the exhibition based on an visitor’s position. Moreover, it is possible to interpret the exhibition’s exposure extent when a continuous variation has been made in visitor’s position. Through this experimental research, it is revealed in detail that the movements of the visitors will be greatly effect by the visual perception that has been exposed in a composition of the exhibition space. This study will be a good source to comprehend while planning a good improvement in a environment of exhibition.
