| Abstract |
This study was carried out by surveying the living rooms of apartments sold in the capital area during 2009. The purpose of this study is to examine the living room's aesthetic characteristics that were introduced and recommended by the builders to consumers, and to basically contribute to improving apartment residents' aesthetic satisfaction with living rooms in the future. To achieve the purposes, the place with unique characteristics in the living room was classified into ceiling, wall & floor, furniture & curtain, and art wall. In addition, finish materials, and color were analysed as a subordinate factor. The most important point of the apartment living rooms in the 2009 was to introduce an environment-friendly aspect into the modern residential space of apartments and to design the latest living room in perfect harmony with the state-of-the-art home appliances. Interior design with minimal decoration and hot colors coupled with neutral colors featuring a modern aspect were widely used to make residents feel more comfortable. |
