Abstract This study intends to analyse the theory of "oblique" of Claude Parent and to compare the works of Rem Koolhaas and that of Claude Parent. Claude Parent is a visionary architect who is relatively unknown. His theory on "fonction oblique", "circulation habitable", "nautacite", "infra-urbanisme", "topotonic", "seuil de retabilissement" open the possiblity to artificiel inclined landscape which is used in architecture of 90's. Therefore this study will be to exemine the geneology of the inclined plate of the contemporary architecture in 60'. This study attributes to link the lost chain of the architectural notion of "inclined plate" and to open the uncanny possiblities of this notion.
