Abstract The heterogeneity and the disjuction are inevitables caracteristics of contemporary city and society. Therefore, differently to the modern architecture and urbanism, the contemporary architecture and urbanism are interested in how deal with the diversity, discontinuity, disjuction, heterogeneity, instead of continuity, conjuction, homogeneity. These notions are applicated from architectural scale(housing, commercial building, etc) to urban scale. The purpose of this study is to analysis the concept of disjuction and heterogeneity in the projects of Bernard Tschumi, Rem Koolhaas, MVRDV. The heterogeneity which the study investigate is not formal but programmatic. Through the comparison of their methods, this study attribute to clarify the statu of the heterogeneity of architecture contemporaty.
