Abstract This research was studied on the aspect of lighting and elevation plasticity as a characteristics of sensibility trend. The purpose of this research is to summarize characteristics of sensibility for lighting and elevation plasticity focused of the buildings published since 2000. Thirty buildings among 145 ones were chosen as an architecture of sensibility which published domestic architectural magazine since 2000. Lighting was combined with various building materials gave us fantastic, misty, mild, and decorated images. The diversity of lighting sources, coming from framed structure, structure itself, and gap of structure, provide characteristics of sensibility with interest and volumetric feelings, alive and rhythmical senses, and dramatic interior surroundings. Elevation plasticity has been decorated without heavy mass images which had most existing buildings. Elevation plasticity which designed with like painting, free style designed structure, and three dimensional structure gave dynamic and dramatic images as a characteristics of sensibility. Elevation plasticity also digitalized with illumination of LED and IT(information technology) gave us the fantastic surroundings and the vital feelings. Elevation plasticity was separated from structure gave birth to skin effect, harmony, incarnation, and repetition of elements. Lighting and elevation plasticity have same characteristics of sensibility on the digital and the material aspects. Lighting and elevation plasticity as a characteristics of sensibility had been formed global building trend. Thus, domestic building design is willing to be effected it gradually.
