Abstract Asymmetric Slimflor Beam(ASB) is a composit beam developed in Europe whose asymmetric H beam is partially inserted in concrete slab. Recently in Korea, It has been studied in order to save the story height of a building, reduce the amount of construction materials and increase the fire resistance of a building. On this study, the fire resistance of Asymmetric Slimflor Beam was checked by an analytical method and the result was compared with the fire test data to verify the accuracy. After then, it's fire resistance was analyzed by an analytical method concerning the thickness of the web. Analytical results showed that the 1-hour fire resistance of Asymmetric Slimflor Beam can be achieved if the thickness of the web is more than 19.3㎜.
