Abstract This study aims to analyze the effects of a street environment on commercial streets vitalization and to determine elements that have great influence. Path analysis was used to test the relation among each independent variable, an overall satisfaction, and users' behaviors which are related to street vitalization . Data was collected by a direct survey in Insa dong and Moonjung dong area. According to the results, the street environment effects on the walking time, the staying time, and the purchase through the overall satisfaction as a mediator. It shows that street environment and street vatalization have the relation of cause and effect.
