Abstract The rebar splice equipments with sleeve connections are presented for the stable connection between the structural members in the remodelling and extension of reinforced concrete structure. To this end, the reasonable structural capacity evaluation should be performed for the practical use of this rebar splice equipments. Several types of rebar splice equipments are considered according to the sleeve connection shapes and field conditions. This study evaluates the structural capacity of rebar splice equipments through the bond stress experiment and analysis under the various design variables, and verifies the safety and efficiency of the rebar splice equipments with sleeve connections.
