Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to analyze and identify the characteristics of stack effect according to the status of openings in high-rise buildings. Based on a survey that was occupants' awareness of the fire and management of fire doors, the patterns of opening was set. For the analysis of stack effect and airflow, using CONTAMW on airflow simulation program based on the network model was performed. Also, prediction of smoke movement and the risk were analyzed in building fires. Based on analysis, this study suggested some minimizing methods of stack effect through alternatives of architectural aspects and improvement with awareness of fire in order to improve safe evacuation of high-rise buildings' occupants. |
