Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to develop the seismic capacity evaluation technique on traditional wooden structures in Korea. Historical and recent seismic damages, design standard, design code, existing seismic capacity evaluation method and the previous research are investigated. The seismic capacity evaluation items such as the design spectrum, the load-displacement curve, the average shear strength of wall and the natural periods of traditional wooden structure are evaluated. From the comparison result of seismic capacity of the selected existing traditional wooden structures using modified seismic capacity evaluation method, the damage state and the seismic capacity evaluation method for the traditional wooden structure are proposed. |
