Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to know aspects of the development of streets in Daegu city and to offer the clue of the expected methods of developing street. Space Syntax program will be used in the process of analysing the development of streets in Daegu city for time series analysis. The results of this study are as follows; While each axis of newly developed streets is affected by axis of old narrow streets in old town, each axis of newly developed streets in newly developed town on farmlands near the old town went for an axis of railroad, axes of cross lines and etc. When a new road was planned in street plan in order to divide a big block, almost narrow streets and conventional streets usually were taken into consideration. So, the axis of the new road easily went for one of axes of near narrow streets. The 'integration' on these grid roads in center of Daegu was high. But, the numerical value usually was decreased in the process of developing new streets in the outline of Daegu city. Especially, the integration and connectivity of the road in front of Daegu railroad station, Taepyeongno, was high. It may be significant cause about land rises in value near the road. We can find also that the change of integration on conventional streets was connected with newly formed streets. |
