Abstract This paper is intended for the disabled who feel it uncomfortable to walk. By investigating fire safety awareness and satisfaction with the facilities, the basic data is provided to ensure the fire safety. Most of the people surveyed were uneducated about the fire safety and recognized that they are unable to evacuate in case of fire. They also suffer much inconvenience with the facilities in the underground space and the elevator is the only thing they can use properly. Government's providing regular safety education to the disabled, a basic knowledge and abilities to cope with a fire will reduce the accident rate. Futhermore, facilities should be developed to be more effective in an emergency. Safety in a disaster and convenience of everyday life should be provided to the disabled so that they can live in society as well as the non-disabled.
