Abstract |
This study was aimed at establishing a method for applying deformation compatibility in seismic design of high-rise shear wall buildings, which is a general type of residential-commercial complex buildings. Some references have proposed the methodologies but it seems not reliable and comfortable to apply them. In order to establish a method, prototype buildings were selected and designed by following engineering practice, and analytical models were established, and then nonlinear static push-over analyses were conducted. The results showed that additional material is not much even if following the references without considering their reliability and that even it may not necessary to follow them. |
