Abstract |
The United States of Green Building Council defines that the green building is a high-performance building. Even though a myriad of scientists and architects have researched on sustainable architecture from the end of 20th century, they all regard only a high efficient building as a green building, overlooking of complex and qualitative features of architecture. Sustainability will be accomplished when social, economical, and environmental conditions have been balanced. A famous Australian architect, Glenn Murcutt said "We don't turn on the air-conditioning as we walk through the streets in high summer. Instead, we change the character of the clothing by which we are protected. Layering and changeability: this is the key.” An English architect David Adjaye proposed that all visitors who have subway tickets to a new museum that he designed are free in. It isn’t great technology but program which let us change. This research aims to scrutinize current problems of researches on sustainable architecture and to find new direction to be harmonized with sustainable technology. |
