Abstract This study aims to examine the development of spatial structures of sub-CBD and CBD in Daegu city. After analysing the history of sub-CBDs and CBD planning in Daegu city, we examined the relationship between data of Space-syntax in each sub-CBD, CBD and commercial center area. For this study, distribution patterns of Sub-CBD were sought for by using the calculated data such as 'Integration' from Space syntax program, S3. The main findings are as follows. Planning of sub-CBDs in Daegu city was revised according to the urban expansion since 1965. From 1969 to 2006, the locations of sub-CBDs have been transferred to outer heart of a living sphere(1971) and were planned in order to increase the urban efficiency. After all, sub-CBDs of Daegu city were located near a fourth circular road in 2006. We came to know lessons from measuring through Space syntax program, which are below. The land price of each land in CBD and sub-CBDs were affected by the accessibility of near road, and by the calculated data such as 'Integration'. Because it is significant the fact that the land price of each sub-CBD, commercial center area were related with the data from Space Syntax Program, the space syntax analysis reveals the effective indication for the urban planning. It seems that the data of 'Global Integration' in each sub-CBDs, CBD, commercial center areas may be regarded as a growth indication of its land.
