Abstract After a high level of economic growth during 1980s, the apartment housing which is supplied in large quantities gets into deterioration functionally and structurally and re-construction business of apartment house was started 1990s. As a result, Remodeling is comparative large-scale repair construction that structural, functional, environmental performance or high growth of energy performance of existing building, and means that raise value of building and improve economic feasibility improving resident's productivity, amenities and health. The purpose of this research is to propose the limit of effective construction for vitalizing of remodeling business that decides importance through element analysis of remodeling. For that purpose, extensive literature review and AHP of opinion survey results focusing on residents' attitude toward remodelling were conducted. The main research findings were as followings; Firstly, major elements at remodeling project at apartment complex were to improve overall portions to be suitable in present function, and needed remodeling construction by sharing cost level of 1,500,000 won per household. Secondly, remodeling construction enforced by the order of [location and area of parking lot > supplementation of community facility > a road maintenance in complex > a children´s playground >landscape garden > a rest and conversation place], active public outdoor space by utilizing existing parking lot, etc. In the case of residents' public facility, it was recommended to utilize active roof deck and to take advantage of the way that landscaping garden and a rest and conversation place can be increased naturally.
