| Abstract |
The aim of study is to make crime prevention environment especially focusing on the fear of crime and actual criminal situation in the public space of apartment complexes. For the purpose, field survey and the questionnaire survey on the CPTED design method are conducted in the 4 apartment complexes in Seoul. The results of the 347 questionnaires survey are analyzed in descriptive statistics through SPSS 12.0 program, and these results compare with the field survey. The result of this are the followings;1) The residents were satisfied with more than average score about their general apartment satisfaction. 2) The residents don't have recognized CPTED and need to be educated CPTED 3) Crime of fear in apartment complexes indicated below average score. 4) Sports facilities and parks were indicated the highest daytime fear in the public space. 5) Underground parking lot and the space around elevator were indicated the highest nighttime fear in the public space. 6) There are difference about fear of crime spaces and actual criminal situation. |
