Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the structural performance of precast segmental beam joints that are constructed by using shear key, steel bar and post tensioning. One monolithic and three segmental beam specimens were manufactured and tested under cyclic lateral loading in addition to sustained axial loading. And it was evaluated by structural experiment of proposed joint through comparison of failure mode, maximum load, steel strain, effective stiffness, energy dissipation capacity and displacement ductility. Test results showed that the maximum load of the S-S-P specimen was approximately 3% less than that of the monolithic specimen, while their energy dissipation capacity and ductility behavior were better than the monolithic specimen. This result implies the improved structural performance and seismic performance, and applicability of the proposed joint S-S-P. |
