Abstract Ten beams made of RC beams with multiple web openings were tested to investigate structural behaviors. A total of ten beams without (one beam) and with multiple web opening (nine beams) were tested in a stiff testing facility, and complete load -deflection curves, including the maximum capacities portion, were obtained. The variables in the test program were area of the web opening, which varied 0.125 and 0.250, 0.333; opening location M, S, M+S; and opening size 75 and 150. It showed difference in failure mode, ductility and ultimate load ratio according to the and . Test results showed that the opening beams reinforced with square steel tube exhibited good ductility, rigidity in comparison with the regular RC beam. showed remarkably tendency of overestimation according to increase of and in the Mansur proposal equation.
