Abstract Following the foundation of KAAB, Korean architectural education sectors have made substantial changes throughout the nation. Meanwhile, there was hardly any visible change in the professional sector to match it. This state has generated concerns over the possibility of failure to complete the legislation reform of 'Architect Law'. Therefore, this thesis looked into the matter underneath the inert surface of Korean architectural professions. In the course of study, several researches were made on the policies dealing with similar problems in UK and US. Nevertheless, heavier weight was upon UK as its educational system more akin to Korean system when compared to US although, originally, KAAB based their standards on NAAB of US. The specific content deals with various issues, like CPD and foreign architect legislations, centered upon Professional Training System. The aim is to identify the probable problems regarding the execution of new Professional Training System in current conditions and to suggest the ways to resolve them.
