Second, Factor analysis and cluster analysis on the basic physical conditions of apartment complexes located in Seoul was analyzed to distinguish the most representative apartment complex examples. Third, landscape elements, image evaluation and a satisfaction survey was conducted with the residents from each apartment complex. Fourth, the landscape conditions of each complex was analyzed by applying the Landscape Indicators. Lastly, correlation analysis was performed using the results retrieved from the cognitive aspects of the residents along with the landscape analysis. The final analysis results show an apparent difference between the existing laws, ordinances and what is perceived as important during the planning stages for apartment complexes and what residents perceive as important. Additionally, aesthetics and stability was one of the most important elements for landscape satisfaction. Finally, the Indicators that applied the cognitive aspects of the residents could be produced. The results from this study, which include verifying the validity of the Landscape Indicators in the perspective of the residents and their cognitive aspects and proposing improvements for the Landscape Indicators, make this research meaningful. |
