| Abstract |
This study is to present the optimum alternative of application and design guidelines of a double-skin facade, which has recently been being dealt as a major issue in terms of reduction on energy load, focusing on a loss of cooling/heating energy caused by an indiscreet expansion of the balcony of apartment housing in Korea. This study especially find out an alternative for optimizing the relevant elements for reduction of energy load, focusing on the elements that should be considered in the early design stage among the various components of the double-skin facade, and present a design guideline for each element and an architectural application method according to the alternative. |
