Abstract |
The aim of this paper is to identify which elements influence on the behavior of Cheong Gye Cheon visitors. Cheong Gye Cheon restoration was on progress from July 2003 to September 2005, which is about 5.84km long. In order to find the influencing elements, Cheong Gye Chon was surveyed from July 2007 to December. Study area is from Cheong Gye square to Dongdae-Mun(14 bridges). Types of visitors are classified into 8 groups (family, lovers, friends, students, children, middle-aged people, the old and tourists). Analyzing their behavior, influencing elements are divided into two factors; internal elements and external elements. Internal elements are including street furnitures, fountains, stepping stones, and nightscape facilities. External elements are surrounding land use, number of bus-stop and subway exit, and entrance to the site. The paper concludes that the more street furnitures and internal elements are there, the more people gather, and the external elements are influencing on the type group of visiting Cheong Gye Cheon. |
