Abstract The purpose of this study is aimed at analyzing the different points in space organization at high-rise apartment flat between Vietnam and Korea. Nevertheless, a question is apparently aroused : After moving to these apartments, do all the users feel comfortable and satisfied with the space organization? In this study, the apartments built after year 2000 in Hanoi, Hochiminh city and in Korea will be applied and perused. This study consists primarily of three steps: In the first step of the study, basing upon documents and actual projects in Vietnam and Korea, the different points in high-rise apartment space organization will be pointed out, analyzed, compared and organized. Although our cultures basically originated and are affected by oriental culture, they still possess a plenty of distinguished features. Hence, there are obviously differences in space organization method in two countries. The next step is aimed at delivering questionnaire survey to vietnamese residents in order to collect their various comments and opinions about some selected representative apartments designed by Korean architects in Vietnam. Then, the positive and negative points in these designs will be found out. At the last stage, from the results of the survey, along with the previous comparisons and analysis, several proposals and recommendations of suitable method in the high-rise apartment space organization in Vietnam condition will be put forward. The results of this study might be in some way useful for korean architects could take advantages in understanding more about vietnamese culture when they design apartments in Vietnam; vietnamese architects could approach and perceive some beneficial practical points in space organization of korean apartments which can be applied in Vietnam environment.
