Abstract In the house ruins in the capital site of Silla, which belong to the second construction time of 8~9 century, the scale of most main building assumed as it in aspect of scale and location, is 3 bays of front and 2 bays of side. And those are regarded as the ruins of sil, which was the main object of regulation in Oksa chapter and in the former old chapter. But in most case, the front length of them exceeds 24syaku(24尺, about 7.2m), that was the limit of jingol(?骨), the heist social position of that time. And this is thought to be the direct reason of promulgating the Oksa chapter. On the other side, another two ruins which have a square plan, both length of front and side are under 18syaku(about 5.4m), that was the limit scale of the main building of odupum(五頭品) house. And it assumed that, those two are the ruins of the houses, which were built under the application of Oksa chapter. Furthermore it can be thought that, because of the Oksa chapter regulated the scale of main building by limiting both length of front and side(室長?), a square plan main building like those were built. And also there can be seen several enlarged cases, but the line of posts is not correspond between the original part and enlarged part. In this case, it is so difficult to regulate the scale of main building by the number of bay. Thus, in the Oksa chapter, the scale was regulated by the length, not the number of bay. In addition to it, the situation like that, most main buildings plan were 3 bays of front and 2 bays of side, is related to the contents of old chapter. To compare it with the change process of Tangling, it can be presumed that, the contents of old chapter was limiting the length of side, on the premise of plan type as 3 bays of front and 2 bays of side. And the regulation of limiting the side length, is same to the contents of the house regulation law(「宮室之制」, 719) involved in Tangludian(『唐六典』).
