Abstract In spite of the large stiffness of the CIP wall, it is used only as the temporary wall. Because it shows the problems of straightness and the poor unification in the joint between the each pile. Recently the Uni-wall method which improves the disadvantage of the CIP has been developed, still for the temporary wall. In this study, a new permanent retaining wall used the Uni-wall was analysed on the viewpoint of the shear performance in the joint cross section between each pile, became the Uni-wall can not be reinforced in the horizontal direction just like CIP. By mean of the numerical analysis in detail, the critical shear zones in PUS induced by the vertical and horizontal loads were investigated and the maximum shear force were analysed depending upon the load conditions. The shear force estimation graphs in the pile joints cross section were developed. Example of a prototype structure demonstrated the validity and the efficiency of the developed estimation graphs.
