Abstract This study aims at the conceptualization and user's behavior analysis of Urbanized Fishing Village. Through the conceptualization of Urbanized Fishing Village which have been built since modernism, this study analyzed the behaviors of residents and passengers in it. The results are as follows. First, William White and Jan gels said a city was human life itself. They also suggested that a dynamic and complex city should be a space including the various human behaviors. Second, the 21 behaviors of 45 expected behaviors occurred in Cheongsapo. A city is the better space, it occurs the more social and optional activities(behaviors). However, 4 social activities and 12 optional activities in Cheongsapo showed the low-frequency in relation to occurrence of the social and optional activities. Especially, 'sitting' of the essential activities happened with the lowest frequency. These results should be considered most significantly in order to hold people in the place continuously. Looking at the behaviors using each space of Cheongsapo, it was at 'T-road' that the most remarkable feature appeared. This space is adjacent to the wharf(the square). And it can cause a lot of behaviors as a space of the most active living now. Cheongsapo based on this space should be planned into better spaces. Some factors of seating area such as street vendors and outdoor cafes need to be considered to motivate much more various behaviors.
