Abstract This study intends to ensure the data of influence of which the area, color temperature and luminance of LED luminaires is exercised to discomfort glare. The experiment was progressed in 5 steps. 1)The Mock-up was produced to install the LED luminaires by area which can adjust the color temperature and luminance. 2)We measured the physical properties by experimental variable. 3)We made a comparative analysis of discomfort glare according to the area of LED luminaires. 4)We made a comparative analysis of discomfort glare according to the color temperature of LED luminaires. 5)We made a comparative analysis of discomfort glare according to the luminance of LED luminaires. The experimental result is as following. 1)When the luminance is the same in all the color temperature, the discomfort glare is also increased according as the area of LED luminaires id increased. Also the difference of discomfort glare according to the area was made higher with the higher luminance. And the change of discomfort glare is less according to the area of color temperature of 3300K. 2)The discomfort glare according to the change of color temperature in all the area of luminaires was shown that the discomfort glare was increased with the higher color temperature . The change of discomfort glare is increased with the higher luminance. Also the luminaires with area of 300㎜×300㎜ has less change of discomfort glare according to thecolor temperature in comparison of the other area of luminaires. 3)The discomfort glare according to the change of luminance is also increased with the luminance increased in all the area of luminaires. Also, The change of discomfort glare is increased according to the luminance with the increased area of luminaires. 4)The LED luminaires has the discomfort glare increased with the lower background luminance(with the higher luminance contrast). 5)As much more number of luminous source are shown from table 1 to Table 3, the other accorded variable was highly evaluated for the discomfort glare in Table3.
