Abstract In oriental architecture of Korea, China and Japan, there observed great effort to find propitious sites (myong-dang, hyoul) of Chi-gi. Applying propitious site (myong-dang, hyoul) in architecture can be interpreted as admitting the existence of Chi-gi seeking for qualitative value in relationship among the nature, human and building. This study was intended to visualizes hyoul(Chi-gi hyoul pan) of Feng-shui then, discusses how the Chi-gi hyoul pan should be located around main exit door to help the flow of Chi-gi. For the goal of the study, it suggests the Chi-gi detection theory as a method to measure Chi-gi in the theoretical analysis part and provided 5 different form of Chi-gi hyoul pan located centrally around main exit door which is the hierarchical order from the Three Principles (door, main room, and kitchen) for Yang Taeg(the building of the living man). In case analysis, this study used Chi-gi detection theory's method to measure the form and size of Chi-gi hyoul pan located around main door exit of hospitals in Korea, China and Japan. In the result, the Chi-gi detection method could measure the actual form and size of Chi-gi hyoul pan which has been expressed only an abstraction. The form of Chi-gi hyoul pan in 30 hospitals (61.2%) in Korea, China and Japan observed in this study was in a look which the Chi-gi hyoul pan exists it’s regular position inside of main door and does not interrupt the flow of Chi-gi.
