Abstract In this study, In order to offer basic material for the stress analysis of the restrained concrete plate member, the uniaxial restrained shrinkage specimens were made, the tensile creep developed at the these specimens due to the restraint of drying shrinkage was investigated, and compared with the compressive creep coefficient. The validity of stress prediction considering the tensile creep coefficient was investigated by the comparison with the experimental results of restraint tensile stress developed at the uniaxial restrained specimen embedding reinforcing bar. In result, the tensile creep coefficient was about 2~3 times higher than the compressive creep coefficient, and the tensile stress predicted by the tensile creep coefficient compared well with the experimental values.
